Uncrustables

I understand that many people these days are busier than ever… but how hard is it to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from “scratch”? Are high-fructose-corn-syrup-laden pre-made sandwiches really necessary? The nutritional differences between an Uncrustables pre-made peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a made-at-home one (using, let’s say, whole grain bread and organic peanut butter and jam) are huge. Let’s just leave it at the fact that an Uncrustables sandwich (despite its apparent simplicity) is a processed food. Anything with partially hydrogenated soybean oil, high fructose corn syrup  and over 35 other ingredients should be avoided when a healthy peanut butter and jelly sandwich is attainable to anyone who can use a butter knife and open a jar.
