Cheeseburger Cocktail

Behold the Cheeseburger Cocktail, created by Trevor Burnett, of Tipicular Fixin’s, a cocktail consultancy in Toronto. “It’s like a meal in a glass,” he said.

Here’s the recipe.

2 muddled Roma tomatoes
1 ounce iceberg lettuce water
1 ounce Flor de Cana 7 year old rum
1 ounce well-reduced beef stock
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons aged Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons toasted bread crumbs
1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 large kosher dill pickle

    We have read your About page and it would seem that our cheeseburger cocktail does not fit your criteria for foods that should not be eaten.

    We respect trying to stop people from eating preservative laden, chemically created, non-food items but this isn’t one of them.
    Our cocktail includes fresh lettuce and tomatoes as well as real cheddar cheese. We make our own stock and bread crumbs, which are made from bread we bake ourselves.
    We would prefer not to be put in a category with people that are profiting from feeding fake food to people.
